 Tana Martin, RYT 200
I am co-owner of Eight Stones Yoga studio and recognize
that it is a privilege and indeed my pleasure to serve our community in
this way. I have been studying and practicing yoga since 1993. I’ve
studied with Suzie Hurley, Beryl Bender Birch, Barbara Benaugh and Victor
van Kooten. I studied with Moses Brown, certified Anusara Teacher
Trainer, for four and a half years and take weekly classes with Stan
Andrzejewski, the director of Greater Baltimore Yoga Center. I have
also studied with JJ Gormley-Etchells for many years and I’m currently
enrolled in her program at the 700 hour level. I hold a teacher certification from The
Yoga Center of Columbia, MD and maintain a daily personal
practice. I feel that breath
awareness is an integral part of yoga practice and from that a natural
sense of movement and grace evolves.

through barriers. I have studied with JJ Gormley, Seane Corn, Jonny Kest,

 Yvonne Cantler
Yvonne’s
background in martial arts brought her to Eight Stones in 2005 looking
for a way to increase her flexibility and add to her meditation practice.
What she found was a love of yoga and a way of living that has brought
better health and balance to her life. Her current training has taught
her to pull from all styles of yoga to find what is most beneficial for
her students. Her passion for
teaching and helping others, comes thru in her class as she uses the
principles of proper alignment and breathing to help bring self awareness
to each individual. She is currently studying with JJ Gormley Etchells
and will soon be completing her RYT 300 program.
