EIGHT STONES YOGA STUDIO
Seasonal Message

Winter 2010

Warmest Holiday Greetings!

It has been an exciting 2009 at Eight Stones and we’re looking ahead to a joyful 2010!  We would like you to know just how important your role is here at the studio.  Because of your loyal and generous support we have been able to uphold a high standard of quality teaching by our compassionate and talented staff as well as give back to the community in a number of ways.

This year we were very pleased to be able to give to these incredible people and organizations:

  • P.I.N.K. A local breast cancer support group
  • Off  the Mat, Into the World – building sustainable farms and a birthing center in Uganda
  • Susan G. Komen Foundation
  • York Arts
  • The Lehman Center
  • The “I Can Challenge”
  • Your Community Women’s Journal
  • The MS Foundation

Also, we were very saddened to have lost a long time student and dear friend, Cathy Miller, who passed on in early October.   Cathy was a student at Eight Stones for eight years.   Her family knew how important yoga practice was to Cathy and they have donated many of her yoga books and tapes to the studio.  Cathy’s laugh was contagious and we will miss her very much.

Heartfelt Holiday Wishes from all of us at the studio.

Wishing you peace and great joy in the year ahead.

Om Shanti

”With deepest gratitude we want to thank our founder and friend, Richard L. Mauro, without whom Eight Stones would not exist.

It is with great pride and commitment that we hope to continue the work that he began and we are grateful for your support.
